Karaevli; It is the name of a tribe of Oghuz Turks affiliated to Bozoklar. There is a long migration adventure of these tribes that started with the Mongol invasion, continued during the period of principalities in Anatolia and ended with the settlement of Thrace with the immigration and settlement policies of the Ottoman Empire. Finally, we can see that the village and town-like settlements created by the Turks who came back to Turkey from countries such as Bulgaria, Greece and Yugoslavia with the population exchange in many cities such as Istanbul, Tekirdağ, Edirne, Çanakkale, Bursa and Adana were given the names of tribes from their past.

Tekirdağ central district is 18 km from Süleymanpaşa. Tavşan Tepe, Tahtaköprü, Simen Stream is the largest stream in the village. Taşköprü is the old Istanbul road and was built by Mimar Sinan. The economy of the village is based on agriculture and modern agriculture is practiced. Certified seed production and screening facilities provide efficient service to Karaevli and many surrounding villages. Viticulture and fruit growing have taken their place as a source of livelihood in recent years.

There is a primary school in the village, but besides it cannot be used, transportation education is used. The village has drinking water network, but there is no sewerage system. There is no PTT branch or PTT agency. There is no health center. The road that provides access to the village is asphalt and there is electricity and fixed telephone in the village. Compared to other villages, there have been many developments in modernization in Karaevli. Services provided to the village since 2004; drinking water drilling was done. Since 2004, 22 garbage containers have been purchased by the headman's office and the garbage has been collected by the Yenice municipality for a fee. It was bought by Tekirdağ Municipality after it became Karaevli District in 2016. 7200 m of stream beds were opened in 2005. Two bridges were built on the stream beds. 2 loading and unloading ramps were built. A milk collection building was built and put into service by the village headman. In the same years, the splitting mill factory was established. 10,000 m2 of cobblestone was laid by the village headman.  The population of 2019 was 402 people.
